Yogurt and Cocoa Hair Strengthening Pack

Yogurt and cocoa powder, wow that sounds like a smoothie, yeah this is a smoothie for hair. It was hard to resist myself from having it instead, cocoa smell was craving me to eat it. Both yogurt and cocoa have magnesium and especially cocoa is very rich in magnesium which aids in reducing hair loss.

  • Yogurt: 2 cups
  • Cocoa powder: ½ cup

For this hair pack you will need yogurt and cocoa powder in the ratio of 4:1. Take yogurt and beat it well, add cocoa powder little at a time, mix until yogurt and cocoa powder blend well. Keep aside for half an hour. You can adjust quantities per your hair length, quantity that I mentioned is sufficient for shoulder length hair.

Yogurt and Cocoa hair pack

  • Dampen your hair with water.
  • If you want to apply on washed clean hair, lightly oil your hair day before you plan for this hair mask. Wash with a mild shampoo, soak up extra water with a towel or tee.
  • Apply this yogurt and cocoa pack on damp hair and put on a shower cap, leave on this pack for a minimum of 30 min. Aww it smells heaven.
  • Yogurt might leave hair oily follow it up with mild shampoo and silicon free conditioner if required.

With all the benefits for hair, chocolate smell soothes and calms your mind and relieves stress as well, perfect at home spa for your hair and senses. Before applying pack to hair, keep aside couple of spoons of this mix and can be applied as face mask and use as body wash instead of your regular soap(full body spa), I was amazed at how easy it was to wash off this pack from hair, and the best part was, there was no residue left on scalp (no more scratching due to residue on scalp on day 2)

Very mild smell of cocoa post hair wash, you will notice only if you grab some hair near to nose and sniff it.

Happy Spa!!!

  2. Greetings Snitha,
I am planning to try the pack tomorrow. 🙂
Myself 25, Male. I have shoulder length hair. Type 1 with what I believe extreme malnutritioned hair, due to lack of time invested in last 3 months.
Would Hershey Chocolate syrup work as in the picture?
    Also, would curd work?

    1. Hi Jitin,

Apologies for the late reply, have been busy with some personal works.

I have used Hershley cocoa powder, I am not sure about the syrup.

Plain curd pack itself is super conditioning, you can even add a spoon or 2 of any oil to plain curd and apply as hair pack. You can even try the below options.

      Plain curd
      Curd + oil(Coconut/Almond/Olive oil)
Curd + oil + Lemon juice
Curd + Banana + oil + Lemon juice
