Shiparamam welcomes us with huge terra-cotta horses at the entrance. There is a nominal entry fee. It is a one stop destination for arts and crafts, live concerts, handicrafts and museums.
Its spread over some 65 acres of land. Breathe in some fresh air, walk through the pathways with green lawns and beautiful sculptures laid all around. Yes, it’s indeed a sculpture park. Selfie Kings and Queens, yes you can take plenty of beautiful pictures. My phone battery was low, couldn’t cover Shilparamam totally.
Cultural programs like Indian traditional dances, instrument recitals, Carnatic vocal, etc ., happen over weekends at Apmphi theatre in the evenings, artists from all over India and abroad perform here. All event details can be found in their official website, which I have mentioned in this post.
Festivals like Sankranthi(Harvest Festival) in January, International Kite festival, Ugadi (Telugu New year), Navarathri during Dussera and Annual crafts festival happen every year.

Do you wanna know what I did at Shilparamam?
I visited Shilparamam along with my son post lunch in the last week of Dec, 2017, yippee it was mommy-son day out. Arts and crafts mela was going on, this mela happens every year from Dec 15 to 31st. One can enjoy street shopping if one has a flair for bargaining, which I am very bad at. Did window shopping and bought couple of items. My son was all happy and running all around, didn’t allow me to click his pics. Somehow got couple of his pics though.
Walked through the pathways, went for a boat ride. Shilparamam has an artificial lake with boat rides. There was only peddle boat available, it was fun pedalling. I was super hungry after the boat ride, we had a pizza at the food court and went to village museum and returned in the late evening.
Have you been to Shilparamam anytime, I would love to hear what you did there?
